2 Days 1 Night Colca Canyon Tour

The Colca Valley is Arequipa's biggest tourist attraction, after Machu Picchu. Its rugged geography is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, as well as Andean villages with many traditions.

We begin our tour along the Yura Highway, enjoying majestic views of the volcanoes that surround the city and then entering Pampa Cañahuas, inhabited by South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and huanacos. We will make a stop in Patahuasi, where we can observe the geological formations and drink an infusion to acclimatize to the altitude.

We will then continue our journey, passing through Bofedales and Tojra Pampa (viewpoint of the Andes), the highest point of our trip. Here we will see different volcanoes such as Ampato, Sabancaya Volcano and Hualca Hualca Volcano. We will have lunch in the beautiful city of Chivay and in the afternoon we will rest at the hotel of our choice, as well as being able to visit the thermal-medicinal baths of Yanque. At the end of the day, we will have dinner at a restaurant with a folkloric show.

On the second day, we will have a nutritious breakfast and head towards the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor. There we will be able to contemplate the majestic flight of the condors just a few meters away and appreciate in all its magnitude one of the deepest canyons in the world. On the way back, we will be able to observe different pre-Inca terraces and visit some small towns to see the churches from the colonial period. After lunch, we will begin the return to Arequipa.
