A visit to a local shoemaker to admire the art of carving and painting the wooden clogs for which the Netherlands is known is also a memorable part of the trip.
The tour also includes a free 30-minute boat ride between Volendam and Marken. After plenty of photo opportunities, the tour concludes with a bus ride back to central Amsterdam.
