Full day City Tour Urbano and Comuna 13

After a hotel reception (see Observation), we'll set off for a visit to Botero Square, home to sculptures by Colombian artist Fernando Botero, famous for his use of the volumetric style. Next, we'll take a panoramic tour of Barefoot Park and Desires Park, an urban transformation zone that showcases the city's development, which was recognized worldwide by winning the most important urban planning award: the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize, considered the Nobel Prize of cities. The local culture, known as paisa, is a global benchmark for Colombia. During the visit to Pueblito Paisa, we'll explore the region's ancient architecture and customs. Throughout the tour, we'll experience contemporary culture and the city's vibrant hustle and bustle through public transportation, including the metro and the Metrocable (cable subway), a new cable car system that connects to a working-class neighborhood. We'll visit Comuna 13, where we'll learn about the social transformation of this population, where successful processes have enabled the social reintegration of this area, and which show a different side of the city—an authentic and unforgettable experience. Return to the hotel.
