Descrizione
Bruges is a Belgian city with centuries of history and largely preserved medieval architecture. It is known as the “Venice of the North” because of the many canals that surround or cross it.
The medieval Halletoren Tower is the largest and most important building in the city. It was built in the 13th century and is the very heart of the city and serves as a reference point for all tours in Bruges. Those who want to climb the 366 steps will enjoy a wonderful and complete view of the city.
The City Hall building, one of the oldest in the Netherlands, is also one of the city's must-see attractions. One of its most famous rooms is the Heilige-Bloedbasilieke chapel. For around 850 years it has housed a piece of cloth marked with the blood of Christ and to this day this relic is kept in a crystal urn.
Brussels, the capital of Europe, is considered the capital of the European Union. It is the headquarters of the European Commission and the European Council, and is responsible for 75% of the work of the European Parliament. Perhaps for this reason, it has a reputation for being serious and a multilingual headquarters.
In addition to being a diplomatic capital, it is welcoming, its inhabitants are hospitable and its attractions are very interesting. As the city's main symbol shows, the Manneken Pis, a tiny statue of a boy peeing.
Another example is the Atomium, an iron molecule magnified billions of times, or the Grand Place, considered one of the most beautiful squares in the world. Brussels is a place with history, an intense cultural agenda, parks and museums. A cosmopolitan city, a meeting point for executives, tourists, students and bohemians.
