Secret River Plus in Cancun

The Rio Secreto is a semi-flooded limestone cave system near Playa del Carmen. There are 38 kilometers of caves in the system, of which approximately 10% are used for ecotourism. Currently, Rio Secreto is protected as a nature reserve.

This will be a unique and transforming experience, we'll meet in the hotel lobby between 7:00 and 8:00 am, continue to Rio Secreto where we will be welcomed and transferred to the entrance of the underground river where we will swim in the crystal clear waters and walk through the completely natural caves. We will have the chance to admire the rock formations that tell the geological history of the land. Right after the tour through the underground river, we will head to the "dry route", where we will know the Mayan infra-world Xibalbá, arriving at the peace hall, where we will watch a spectacular show of images and sound that tell the story of the creation and evolution of the universe projected onto the rock formations of the cave.

Between the tours we will stop for lunch at a Mexican buffet and have some free time to rest.

We will still have the opportunity to do abseiling and a bike ride.

COMMENTS:

Our meeting will be between 7am and 8am depending on the hotel where you are staying. If you are staying at a hotel in downtown Cancun, Playa del Carmen or Tulum, the nearest meeting point and time will be informed one day in advance by a local agent.

It is not allowed to take photos or film inside the underground river;
Activity not recommended for people with physical disabilities, fatigue, heart problems and pregnant women;
