Prague Grand City Tour and Changing of the Guard

Allow us to invite you on a sightseeing tour of the city that Bernard Bolzano called "the city of a hundred spires" in the 19th century. We'll begin near the Estates Theatre in the Old Town, which hosted the premiere of W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni. We'll pass the National Theatre, where you'll enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of Prague Castle and Charles Bridge, Rudolfinum, home of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Powder Gate, Wenceslas Square, the center of the New Town, where Czech history was written, Charles Square, and the famous Dancing House (Fred and Gingerbread). Then we'll cross the Jirásek Bridge to marvel at the Lesser Quarter, dominated by St. Nicholas Church. The first part of the tour is provided by minibus. We will cross the Jewish quarter, past the oldest synagogue in Europe, to Old Town Square, one of the oldest markets in Prague, with its historic Town Hall and the world-famous Astronomical Clock, dating from 1410, with its 12 apostles.

We'll then begin our tour of Prague Castle, where the Czech kings held their offices. Elite soldiers of Prague Castle welcome you at the gates. The ceremonial changing of the guard, including a fanfare and the flag ceremony, will take place. We'll see St. Vitus Cathedral, where the Czech crown jewels are kept and where King Charles IV, the father of the country, is buried.

The tour ends at Prague Castle.
