Half-day tour of the ruins of Italica

We will travel through time on this tour visiting the ruins of Itálica, located in Santiponce. It was the first Roman city founded on the Iberian Peninsula, and saw the birth of two great emperors, Trajan and Hadrian.

Once in Itálica, we will have the opportunity to learn a little about the history with our guide, discovering secrets and interpreting the place, the ancient streets, mosaics from the period, baths, and the Roman theater.

We will visit the famous amphitheatre, one of the largest in the world with a capacity for 25,000 spectators, where gladiator fights were held. We will have the opportunity to walk along the ancient arena and inside the galleries, imagining the grandeur and grandeur of the Roman Era.

Nowadays, Italica has served as the setting for several series and films, such as Game of Thrones, where the ruins of the amphitheater were used as the “Dragon Pit”.

Before returning to Seville, we will visit the Monastery of San Isidoro del Campo, a medieval fortress that hides treasures from the Mudejar, Gothic and Baroque periods.
