Florence Walking Tour and Uffizi Gallery

We'll begin our tour in the early afternoon with a comprehensive introductory walking tour, ideal for those who want to learn the facts and secrets that shaped Florence's two thousand years of history. We'll explore everything from the city's Roman origins to its elegant 15th-century palaces, passing by the iconic Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi courtyard, and Brunelleschi's magnificent Dome, which dominates the Baptistery and its famous 'Gates of Paradise.'

After this immersion in the city, we'll visit one of the most prestigious museums in the world: the Uffizi Gallery. Accompanied by our guide, we'll discover masterpieces by artists such as Cimabue, Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian, and many others. We'll recognize iconic paintings we've seen in books and other media, while discovering the techniques and tools used by the Renaissance masters. This experience will help us understand why Florence is recognized as the birthplace of this artistic revolution.

You can enjoy the museum visit at your own pace after the guided tour, staying in the Uffizi Gallery until closing time if you wish.

Between the walking tour and the museum visit, we'll have about three hours of free time. We'll meet again for the second part of the tour at 3:15 PM, in front of Gate 3 of the Uffizi Gallery.
